Community Partners

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

If your organization, church, school, business, or other type of group is interested in helping with the 2019 Soroptimist International of Boise Holiday Project, please click here to complete the application.

The following areas are where SI of Boise would love to have your assistance.  If you have questions or need further information, please contact Coordinator Shirley Biladeau at siboise@soroptimistboise.org.  Thank you for your assistance with this important community project.

1. Project Promotion
Groups, businesses or individuals are encouraged to use the prepared materials to promote the community activity to co-workers, friends, and family throughout November and early December.  Materials provided will include prepared news releases for newsletters, posts for social media and video.

2. Group Purchasing

Groups, schools, organizations, or businesses may request a "shopping list" for purchasing items for either seniors or foster children.  The list will be provided by November 1, so your organization has the whole month of November to shop, place items in gift bags, and deliver to collection sites between November 29 and December 13.

3.  Volunteers for the Sorting Party, December 14

On December 14 the members of Soroptimist International and T-Mobile will gather at the Service Master warehouse in Meridian to inventory, sort, and bag the gifts per facility.  We can always use more help, so if your group would like to send 2-3 volunteers to work for a couple of hours on a December Saturday morning, that will be awesome!  Training and guidance are provided!

4.  Collection Site for Purchased Gifts

One to two businesses are needed to serve as a collection site for the public to drop off their gifts between November 29 and December 13.  Appropriate signage and donation letters are provided.  Service Master picks up the gifts at the collection site on a daily basis during this time frame and take the gifts to their warehouse for the sorting party on December 14.
